Wave (part of FMG) in Plano is hiring a project designer. A Project Designer plans, designs, and furnishes interior environments of commercial spaces. Responsibilities include interfacing with sales people and/or clients to determine purpose and scope of work, creates and maintains time schedules, develops furniture typicals and standards, participates in client presentations, and works with corporate account inventories. Integrates findings with knowledge of interior design and formulates plans, renders schematic designs, working drawings, product specifications and ideas in the form of drawings or illustrations. Estimates material requirements, costs, and presents designs for clients review, approval and implementation.
A Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university with a minimum of 2-years related work experience. Auto CAD and Microsoft Office computer skills are required. Project Spec., Team Design/Khameleon skills preferred. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision. Above average written and verbal communication skills required.
